About Himalayan Everest

Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited (HEI) was formed through the first-ever merger in Nepal's insurance industry, combining Himalayan General Insurance (founded 1993) and Everest Insurance Company, with integrated operations beginning Shrawan 1, 2079 BS (July 17, 2022). The merger was completed in a 85:100 share-swap ratio, raising the combined paid-up capital to about Rs 2.24 billion to meet regulatory capital requirements.
