About Vijaya

VLBS is incorporated as a public limited company under the Company Act 2063 and licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank as a national-level "D" class financial institution; it was established on 7 August 2012 and began operations after receiving its NRB license on 3 January 2013. The concept was initiated by Vijaya Development Resource Centre (VDRC-Nepal), a leading community-microfinance NGO, with backing from Goodwill Finance and roughly 184 development professionals. The institution provides both financial and non-financial services to its members, focusing on poverty reduction by increasing production and productivity in rural Nepal. It operates 135 branches across all seven provinces (organized under 12 cluster offices), serving more than 150,000 clients with around 550 employees.
