About Upakar
Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ULBSL) is a Class-D microfinance institution licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank, established on Magh 17, 2075 (early 2019) and beginning operations from 1st Chaitra 2075. It was transferred from the microfinance program of Mahila Upakar Munch and is headquartered at Kohalpur-11, Pipal Chautara, Banke. The institution operates 38 branches across 12 districts of Lumbini Province, serving poor and disadvantaged members in areas with difficult access through group and individual micro-lending. Its focus is financial inclusion and upgrading the socio-economic status of its members.
