About Mahila
Mahila Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MLBSL) is a national-level Class-D microfinance institution licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank on 2075/06/22 BS, which began operations on 2075/07/01 BS. It evolved from the Centre for Women Rights and Development (CWRD), an NGO established in 1992/93 that had provided microfinance since 2001, whose assets and liabilities were transferred to MLBSL. Headquartered in Sanga-13, Kavre, it focuses on women empowerment and serves the poorest and underprivileged people through group and collateral-based lending. As of Jestha 2083 it served about 88,202 active clients with 36,149 borrowers across 77 branch offices and 7 province offices.
